An evil King finds out a young boy is destined to marry her daughter so he keeps trying to get the kid out of the way, which only leads him closer to his goal, in the end the King demands three gold hairs from the devil.

On his way, the boy learns of other people's misfortune, like dried up wine fountain, a dying golden apple tree and cursed ferryman, when he reaches the devil, the devil's grandma turns him into an ant to hide him and she asks of the previous misfortunes and yanks the hairs and gives all to the boy. The boy is rewarded with gold which the evil king asks about, but the boy tricks him into breaking the ferryman's curse and is stuck there for eternity.
